Ocean King 2: Ocean Monster Arcade Machine game includes 17 different species of fish, plus 3 different kinds of crabs, three Jumbo Fish, and four BOSS characters – all of which players must try to catch in the allocated time, using their powerful weapon. This powerful weapons has three distinct operational modes: Normal Speed, Accelerated Speed, and Aim at the Target.
The fish characters have different values and these values are operator adjustable: values can be set onto either a low Odds Level or a high Odds Level. This allows operators to make the game more suitable to their particular location.
The fish species include: Flatfish, Flying Fish, Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, Lionfish, Devilfish, Lantern Fish, Spearfish, Saw Shark, Fugu, Sahrk, Sea Turtle, Lobster, Killer Whale, Octopus, Whale King, and Blazing Dragon.
The Jumbo Fish are 3 normal fish characters that have been supersized and include: Clown Fish, Fugu, and Butterfly Fish.
The three types of crab characters also double as mini-game features that appear at random during the game, including: Super Bomb Crab, Laser Crab, and Drill Crab.
Lastly, the Boss characters are some really difficult characters to beat and are known as the Almighty Octopus, Emperor Crab, Darkness Monster, and Ancient Crocodile.
Players catch these fishy characters using a powerful weapon with three distinct operating levels: Normal Speed, Accelerated Speed, and Aim for the Target.
The Ocean Monster Arcade Machine also features several fun and exciting mini-games which appear at random throughout the game, including both multiplayer and single player games:
<b>-Lightning Chain –</b> catching a fish with the lightning chain effect will start catching other fish automatically until it runs out and players receive the value of all fish caught. The species that can appear with the Lightning Chain effect include Flying Fish, Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, Fugu, Lionfish, Flatfish, Lobster, Spearfish, and Octopus.
<b>-Vortex Fish –</b> catching a fish with the Vortex effect will suck all the other fish of it’s kind on the playfield into a whirl pool. Species who can appear with the Vortex effect include Flying Fish, Clown Fish, Butterfly Fish, Fugu, Lionfish, Flatfish, Lobster, Spearfish, Octopus, Lantern Fish, Sea Turtle, and Saw Shark.
<b>-Super Bomb Crab –</b> catching a Super Bomb Crab will trigger the chained bomb attack in a wide explosion, affecting and/or catching many of the fish on the playfield at the time.
<b>-Laser Crab –</b> players who catch the Laser Crab will be rewarded with a special Laser Beam weapon for a limited time only – it’s a one shot weapon though, so use it wisely!
<b>-Drill Crab –</b> the Drill Crab gives the player a special ‘Breaking Drill weapon that fires penetrating drills around the playfield, giving players more chances to catch fish. After a while the drill explodes affecting and/or catching even more fish within range.
<b>-Fire Storm –</b> is a random time limited game and is desgined for one player at a time. The player who is awarded the mini-game will receive a flamethrower, which causes extreme damage to fish and multiplies their values. Players can also obtain additional time and multiply their score during the game.
<b>-Golden Treasures –</b> a time limited game with a mulitplayer function. Players use a special searchlight to look for the Imperial Whale and the Golden Fish to try and catch them and get high scores. Players may also get a roulette treasure box that adds in or multiplies the total scores.

This is a low cost and simple configuration option for operators. An operator will "key in" (with a key) on every machine or terminal that has this option in order to allow players to play and add credits. When the player has finished the game, the operator will “key out” (with a key) to end the session and the player can collect their points. This is suited for low end machines or machines that have low traffic / income.
This is a common configuration option suited for low value games and is also known as "Coin In/ Coin Out". This option entails players inserting coins in order to begin the game. Once the player has finished the game, the hopper will distribute coins according to the amount the money won during the game, for instance if the player won $20 the hopper will distribute eighty 25c pieces to the player. This is most appropriate for machines that have low winning potential due to its convenience and usability.
This option is normally used for prize redemption in arcade centres where players can redeem their tickets for gifts and prizes. This option involves players inserting coins to commence their game and once the game is completed they are presented with tickets reflecting the amount of points won during the game. For example, if a player earned 50 points during a game, they will be given 50 tickets. These tickets can then be redeemed for prizes or gifts.
