The Sea Maid game is a free-for-all in which players need to catch fish to earn points – the more fish you catch (and the bigger they are) the more points you will earn! To start, players simply insert coins into the coin acceptor (credits can also be put on or taken off the machine using the Key In/Out function) and once the game begins players use the joystick to aim their net gun at the various fish swimming across the screen. Once a target is lined up, players hit the ‘SHOOT’ button to catch the fish and earn points.

During the course of the game players can change their gun by pressing the  ‘WEAPON’ change button, selecting between three net guns of varying net sizes and power levels. When you have finished playing the game, players simply hold down the payout button for 3 seconds to take their earnings.

The Sea Maid mini game features includes:

– Twister:  all fish except for the Devilfish, Sharks, Killer Whales, Humpback Whales and Bomb Crabs, have a Twister feature which, when captured by a player, captures all the same fish near it for the player who caught the Twister fish.

– Bomb Crab:  explodes when it is captured by a player, damaging all the affected fish. This will either catch them for the player or just make them easier to catch for the player.

– Chain Thunder: this affects nine types of fish, including: Lionfish, Snapper, Butterfly Fish, Clown Fish, Fugu, Lobster, Flounder, Spearfish and Octopus. Players can use the chain thunder feature to get up to nine kinds of fish at once and win extra points depending on how many fish, and how many different types of fish, are present on the screen at the time.

Fish up for grabs include: Clown Fish, Devilfish, Snapper, Lionfish, Lantern Fish, Saw Sharks, Butterfly Fish, Fugus, Sea Turtles, Sharks, Flounder, Octopi, Lobsters, Spearfish, the Bomb Crab, the Humpback Whale, and the Ocean Lord Killer Whale.

Another new feature of the Sea Maid game is a new super charged Sea Turtle worth anywhere between 200 and 500 points!

Key In / Key Out

This is a low cost and simple configuration option for operators. An operator will "key in" (with a key) on every machine or terminal that has this option in order to allow players to play and add credits. When the player has finished the game, the operator will “key out” (with a key) to end the session and the player can collect their points. This is suited for low end machines or machines that have low traffic / income.

Coin In / Hopper Out

This is a common configuration option suited for low value games and is also known as "Coin In/ Coin Out". This option entails players inserting coins in order to begin the game. Once the player has finished the game, the hopper will distribute coins according to the amount the money won during the game, for instance if the player won $20 the hopper will distribute eighty 25c pieces to the player. This is most appropriate for machines that have low winning potential due to its convenience and usability.

Coin In / Ticket Redemption

This option is normally used for prize redemption in arcade centres where players can redeem their tickets for gifts and prizes. This option involves players inserting coins to commence their game and once the game is completed they are presented with tickets reflecting the amount of points won during the game. For example, if a player earned 50 points during a game, they will be given 50 tickets. These tickets can then be redeemed for prizes or gifts.

Bill Acceptor / Thermal Printer

This option is most profitable for gaming machines that have a high earning potential. It involves players inserting notes in order to play the machine.
